The Fishers Freedom Festival’s annual T-Shirt Design Contest is open to all children living within the Hamilton Southeastern School district boundaries from Kindergarten to 8th grade. The winner will have their design on the official 2014 festival T-shirt and the school with the highest percentage of entries will receive $500 towards their art program. In the event that there is a tie, the prize money will be split equally.

Prize money is sponsored by the Fishers Arts Council and the Fishers Freedom Festival. The winning artwork will be determined by a panel from the Arts Council and the Fishers Freedom Festival Committee.

Entry deadline is Friday, February 14.

Up to 100 t-shirt design finalists will have their artwork on display as a Fishers Art in Town Hall exhibition, sponsored by the Fishers Arts Council and the Town of Fishers. The exhibit will run from March 1 – March 31

2014 Fishers Freedom Festival T-shirt Contest Rules:

  • T-Shirts will be white
  • The theme for the 2014 Festival is “Keep Fishers Beautiful” The entry must depict “2014 Fishers Freedom Festival” and the theme. These details must be legible and spelled correctly on the design.
  • Artists are allowed to use only four colors in their drawings (black is a color, white is not a color).
  • No computer drawings are allowed. No black and white drawings please.
  • Drawings must be on paper which is 8.5″ x 11″.
  • Only 1 entry per student.
  • Entrants must be a resident in the Hamilton Southeastern School District.
  • Previous T-shirt contest winners are ineligible.

Students MUST put the following on the back of their drawing to be eligible to win:

  1. First and Last Name
  2. Age
  3. Address and Telephone number
  4. School and Grade
  5. If applicable, the art teacher’s name
