The 20th
annual Fishers Freedom Festival celebration will be held June 28 and June 29,
2008 at the Roy G. Holland Memorial Park. Our annual event draws over 45,000
individuals and offers a wonderful opportunity to market your business, support
the community, and help our organization financially. I would like to give
you a brief historical background. The Fishers Freedom Festival Committee was
established in 1989 to promote a one-day town festival and parade. Since 1989,
we have grown to a two-day event that encourages the families and children in
our community to unite and celebrate Independence Day, show community spirit,
and give back to the community through volunteering. Our goal is to provide an
event that has little or no cost to those who choose to attend. We are a 501-C3
not-for-profit private volunteer corporation (Charitable Tax Deductible).

Our Community Support/Outreach Programs:

“Roy Holland
Backpack for Kids” - This program provides less fortunate students within our
school district the needed school supplies and backpacks that they otherwise
would not be able
to afford.

Scholarships – The
Festival Committee offers two separate scholarships
o “Ken Wright” Community and Life Scholarship
Two high school seniors from HSE school district are selected each year to
receive $1000 each. This scholarship is based on community service,
extra curricular activities, and participation in not-for-profit
organizations.
o “Roy Holland Memorial Scholarship”
This scholarship is for a full-time employee of the Town of Fishers, their
spouse, or children. One scholarship is awarded annually to either a full-time
student for $2,500 or a part-time student for $1,250.

Boy Scout
Venturing Crew 0199 - The Fishers Parade and Festival Inc, dba the Fishers
Freedom Festival is the chartering organization for Venturing Crew 0199

Fishers Police
Department D.A.R.E. - Sponsors the Fishers Police Department’s annual D.A.R.E.
Golf Outing in September, where 100% of the money collected is used for the
Hamilton Southeastern School District’s D.A.R.E. Program

Volunteers of
Fishers Organization- “The Mission of Volunteers of Fishers is to actively
work and partner with individuals and organizations in the community in an
effort
to enrich and make a significant impact on the lives of our citizens and the
success of our businesses. We will accomplish this by setting a positive
example for others to follow in keeping the Town of Fishers an ideal place to
live and raise a family through encouraging members of the community to
volunteer their time to serve others, promoting strong family values and
advocating healthy lifestyles”.

Freedom Festival supports and provides opportunities for local not-for-profit
organizations, churches, and scout troops to raise money during the Festival
weekend. Festival activities include, but are not limited to:

I have listed how you as a business can help our organization reach our goal
of raising $260,000 to meet our 2007 budget:

The booklet will be
distributed by direct mail to all Hamilton Southeastern School District
residents (over 37,000 will be directly mailed and a minimum of 2,000 additional
booklets will be printed for distribution to local businesses and at the
Festival). This is the seventh year we have printed this type of promotional
material and it has been well received and successful. It is a great
advertising piece for your company to participate in. The booklet size is 8 ½“x
5 ½“. The cover pages are 4-color and throughout the booklet will be 4-color.
The booklet will contain over 44 pages of information, schedule of events, and
advertisement. Camera Ready Artwork (PDF Format and hardcopy) Must Be
Provided By NO LATER THAN APRIL 15, 2008.
