Due to parade participants having damaged property, we will not allow the use of water guns, super soakers, hoses, etc. to be used by any parade participant or those observing the parade. We appreciate your sensitivity to this issue. Throwing items from the parade vehicles creates a safety risk and will not be allowed to occur.
Absolutely NO Soliciting or Unauthorized Vendors are Permitted in or Around the Park or Along the Parade Route. Violators May be Ticketed and Fined.

The main parade will be held Sunday, June 27, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. with the line-up beginning at 3:00 p.m. The line-up will be at the Town Municipal Complex and along Lantern Road. The parade route will step off at Lantern Road and 116th Street, continue west on 116th Street to Holland Drive, and north on Holland Drive to the park. We’re very excited at the exposure this will give the parade. As one of the largest town festivals and parades in the state of Indiana, we hope you will choose to celebrate this special event with our town. The festival has a variety of events taking place the entire weekend. Please bring canned goods, non-perishable foods, new toys and new school supplies to the parade. Youth from the local Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts will be collecting these items along the parade route.
The Fishers Arts Council is pleased to announce the third Fis
hers Arts Council’s Choice Award, for the BEST float in the 22nd Freedom Festival Parade! The winning float will also be preceded by a banner naming the award and will be presented with a trophy and a check for $500.
The following is a list of categories that are used for the judging of parade floats participating in the Freedom Festival Parade. The description below is how the judges will award points in each particular category.
The overall effective presentation of the float. Its presentation, as it will appear on the parade route. Beauty and creativity.
The craftsmanship in the float creation. Detail in design and creation of float objects with the effective use of colors and materials.
How well the float design concept adapts to the parade theme.
The creativeness and originality in the float design concept. Walking contingents will be judged on Originality, Enthusiasm, Parade Theme and Overall Appearance.
