The public is encouraged to attend the seventh annual “Fishers Oktoberfest at Saxony” on Saturday, September 22. This family-styled event will be held at Witten Park at 131st Street and Olio Road from noon to 10:00 p.m.  Admission is free.  This event is hosted by Saxony, Leinenkugel’s Oktoberfest, and the Fishers Freedom Festival.

Oktoberfest will have German food as well as other favorites like hot dogs, hamburgers, elephant ears and more.  Arts and crafts vendors will be there from 12 pm to 6 pm and food vendors and beer garden will be open all day.

Live entertainment on the main stage will include “Dicky James & The Blue Flames” from 12 pm to 2:30 pm.  “Polka Bob” will perform from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm, “GTR” will perform from 5 pm to 6:30 pm and local favorite “Big Daddy Caddy” will take the stage from 7 pm to 10 pm.

Even though this is a free event, please consider bringing a canned good or new toy to be donated to the Good Samaritan Network of Hamilton County.  They support residents-in-need throughout the entire year, especially during Thanksgiving and Christmas time.
