The Town of Fishers will host its first Scott Firefighter Combat Challenge presented by IU Health Saxony Hospital on Friday, August 3 & Saturday, August 4 at Holland Park (One Park Drive) which celebrates America’s “best of the best” firefighters.  This free event is one of about 25 competitions across the United States for firefighters to compete in a five-evolution event which includes a five-story tower climb with high-rise pack, hose hoist, forcible entry, hose advance, and victim rescue.  The event will be Friday from 3pm – 11pm and Saturday from 9am – 5pm.

This regional event sponsored by IU Health Saxony Hospital will also have a Kids’ Challenge for kids 4 to 11 years old to participate for free in a miniaturized version of the firefighters’ challenge.  A Corporate Challenge with businesses competing on the same course as the firefighters will be held for company teams to test their skills.

Food vendors, arts & crafts vendors, children’s craft area, bounce house, climbing wall, bungee trampoline, face painting, the Indy Disc Dogs performing tricks, and “Big Daddy Caddy” playing live music Saturday evening will give attendees a wide selection of events to enjoy.  Please bring a non-perishable to donate which will benefit a local food pantry.

If someone would like to volunteer for this exciting event, there are opportunities like checking-in competitors, resetting the challenge course, working with the kids’ activities, and more.  For information on volunteering, please click here.
